Family Photography in Matagorda, Katy & Houston
Family sessions are designed to feel relaxed, unhurried, and natural — especially for families who worry their kids “won’t cooperate.” That’s okay. My sessions are built around movement, connection, and real interaction, not perfection.
I photograph families throughout Matagorda, Katy, Houston, and along the Texas Gulf Coast, with a focus on outdoor locations that feel meaningful and comfortable. Beach sessions in Matagorda are especially popular for their open space, soft light, and laid-back atmosphere.
You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about your children behaving a certain way. I’ll guide you when needed and step back when moments unfold naturally. The result is imagery that reflects your family as you are — connected, expressive, and real.
Family sessions include planning support, location guidance, and a curated online gallery for image selection. My goal is to create photographs you’ll return to year after year, not images that feel trendy or staged.
FAQ
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
That’s completely expected. Sessions are designed around movement, flexibility, and real interaction rather than forced posing. I'm an educator. I promise you that there's nothing your kids will do that I haven't seen!
What should we wear?
I provide guidance on wardrobe and color palettes to help your images feel cohesive while still reflecting your family’s style.
Can extended family members join the session?
Yes; however, every family member over six participants will incur an additional fee. Let me know who will be included so we can ensure the session is structured comfortably.
Do you help with planning and locations?
Yes. Guidance is provided for timing, locations, and overall flow to ensure the session feels comfortable and aligned with your goals.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
Galleries are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks for portrait sessions. Event galleries may vary depending on scope and coverage length. Specific timelines are shared in advance. Additionally, if time is of the essence, rush processing can be applied for an additional fee.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Capture your family just as it is right now.
